Cymbal Simon was fortunate to have been taught by some very experienced players; Derek Hogg (Dudley Moore Trio) Jack Richards (Author of the Guildhall School of Music Grading Books) and the infamous Ted McKenna (Sensational Alex Harvey Band) amongst others. This is reflected in his approach to teaching and his belief that learning should be fun. “Whether you’re drumming for the hell of it, trying to get into a band or chucking it all in to be a Musician (Mid-Life Crisis), Cymbal Simon’s lessons take place fortnightly and last for one hour ( However, there is no Government Health Warning about weekly lessons)....Yet!? If you’re at school and want to play drums at Standard and Higher Grades, Cymbal Simon can help you out as he can teach the Scottish Examination Board Syllabus......if you’re willing to learn it!
